BMD75 to BMD5400

The BMD series of magnetic couplings have significantly enhanced the proven magnetic drive system.

There are no longer any external rotating parts and so the unit is available CE marked.

The drives and the stirrer shaft have no direct contact in the BMD 75. The stirrer shaft is driven as a result of the interacting magnetic fields. The shaft runs smoothly and with near zero vibration. Only the easily replaceable bearings are subject to wear.

BMD300/800/1200/1800/3600/5400

The BMD300 is a high torque magnetic coupling (300 Ncm) used as standard on our BEP280 range of autoclaves.  There are no external rotating parts and because of the high torque it can be used to stir high viscosity products in vessels up to 20 litres.  Rated to 150 bar. Maximum stirrer speed 2000rpm.  An ATEX certified version is available.  Standard materials of construction are stainless steel or Hastelloy, any other weldable metal can be used such as Titanium, Monel, Tantalum, etc.

The BMD800 is the higher torque version (800 Ncm) for extremely high viscosity products or larger vessels.  Versions available up to 5400 Ncm.

These systems use PTFE/graphite slide bearings as a standard but can be fitted with ceramic ball bearings, if necessary.
