Two Phase Mixing

Products marked as: Two Phase Mixing Application

The efficient dispersion of a gas within a liquid is often required in the chemical or biological process industries. For many applications this will involve a mechanically stirred reactor vessel where the gas is either sparged into the base of the vessel near to the stirrer or introduced via a combined hollow stirrer shaft and turbine. The aim is to maximise the efficient mixing of the two phases.

A typical application of gas-liquid mixing is heterogeneous hydrogenation where the largely insoluble hydrogen gas must be dispersed throughout the solvent where it is able to attach itself to the surface of a catalyst.

We supply powerful stirred reactors in glass and metal with the option of either dip pipes for sparging or hollow shaft and turbine assemblies which maximise the mass transfer of the two phases. Below are just some of the systems on offer.
